Japanese Food

I found a nail tutorial on a sushi and ongiri nail design and couldn’t resist. I didn’t have the right size brush at first so the faces are looking a little funky but I think thy are cute enough to share.

On a side note if you haven’t tried Onigiri it’s epic and a super easy snack to make. The boi convinced me to buy a rice cooker/steamer to make Onigiri and I’m so glad he did. It’s simply a rice ball wrapped with seaweed but has so many possibilities for fillings and toppings. When I was at Tekko (an anime convention in Pittsburgh) we went to an Onigiri Workshop that we learned a couple things about Ongiri such as using plastic wrap to form the triangle (my favorite shape) of rice as well as talked about popular prepackaged toppings such as sesame and sea salt *yum*. If you are interested in learning how to make them I suggest youtube there are some good tutorials available.

About Candy Kisses

I'm an aspiring designer who one day wishes to move to New York and make it big! As of now I work at a restaurant near my apartment in pittsburgh to make ends meet while running a small business called Candy Kiss Couture, on etsy consisting of my designs, and crafts at www.candykisscouture.etsy.com. I love all things beauty, fashion, and glamour as well as all things Art ^.^ Also an interesting tid bit about myself: I love to play dress up, cause I'll never be too old for that! I am fascinated by glitter, shiny things, lace, neon colors, pastel colors, alright colors in general. I guess that's more than enough about me we'll get to know each other as I blog. Thanks for checking my page out.
