Lolita Look Love

I recently fashioned a skirt from a little girl’s princess costume inspired by lolita fashion. Of the different styles of lolita I prefer the cutesy pink girly version rather than the gothic or cosplay style. Here’s a before and after of said skirt.

I basically seem ripped the entire dress starting with the zipper and reattached as well as modified the pieces I liked. I especially enjoyed the back of the skirt which is what really gave it that lolita doll look. I created a bow from the pieces attached to the top back of the dress and reversed both ruffles to make them stand out more and left the lace covered center as is. It was really fun to rip apart and start from scratch.

I also made a cotton two layer skirt inspired by the high waisted lolita skirts. It’s a hello kitty Christmas skirt I am putting up in my etsy shop if anyone’s interested ^.^ if you don’t already know.

And finally a few inspiration photos of cute lolita pieces that make me happy.

Hope you enjoyed the lovely eye candy!
