Fringe Benefits

I have some extra fringe trim and have been playing around with it trying to figure out if it should go on my shirt, make a necklace, accent pants. What to do, what to do? So I’m posting some inspiration photos of things I am really loving on that incorporate fringe. Here it goes.

Kapow! Pow! Fringe Leggings. I know people will either hate these or love these depending on how they feel about rainbows. Honestly I wouldn’t wear them with the rainbows on the side unless I was on my way to a rave. I would rather make em in a baby pink with cream for everyday wear. They could be really pretty and chic instead of a bit too costumey. I still love em rainbow or not.

Gorgeous Norwegian Wood piece from their Fall 2010 collection. I’m definitely going to have to DIY it up. This is what I was leaning towards when I was draping the trim.

This photo I found on FaceHunter. This is also a DIY project to come for myself. Fringe shoulder pads, pretty! So simple to make with some covered shoulder pads too! I love super long fringe trim. I used to own a skirt that was all floor length fringe for belly dance (I used to teach and perform belly dance and still practice it).

Another photo of the fringe shoulder pads. A less embellished version with shorter fringe. Love it!

Hopefully I can start posting some DIY tutorials in the future when I have a bit of funds for supplies. Tell me what you think of the fringe and if you’d like to see tutorials for any of these ^.^

I'm an aspiring designer who one day wishes to move to New York and make it big! As of now I work at a restaurant near my apartment in pittsburgh to make ends meet while running a small business called Candy Kiss Couture, on etsy consisting of my designs, and crafts at www.candykisscouture.etsy.com. I love all things beauty, fashion, and glamour as well as all things Art ^.^ Also an interesting tid bit about myself: I love to play dress up, cause I'll never be too old for that! I am fascinated by glitter, shiny things, lace, neon colors, pastel colors, alright colors in general. I guess that's more than enough about me we'll get to know each other as I blog. Thanks for checking my page out.
